Everyday the same dream is a a little existential riff on the style of alienation and refusal of labor. The concept was to charge the cyclic nature of most video gaming with some kind of meaning (i.e. the 'play again' is not a game over). Yes, there is an end state, it is possible to 'beat' the game.
